Prettily situated in the lap of the magnificient Parbati valley, Manikiran offers a picture perfect tourist location. Well known for its Gurudwara and pretty temples, it is a famous pilgrim centre of both Hindus and Sikhs.Manikaran is famed for its hot water springs. The gushing water is so hot that one can prepare food in it. The water in the springs is radioactive and so it also has got some medicinal value. It is believed that goddess Parvathi had lost her earrings at Manikaran and that gave birth to the hot springs.Being positioned at an elevation of 1,850 meter, Manikaran serves as a gateway to Kullu. Besides being a sacred spot, this hilly terrain offers tremendous trekking opportunities to adventure lovers. Reaching atop of the temple itself needs a great effort.

Lord Ramchandra Temple

Among all the temples in Manikaran, the temple of Lord Ramchandra is the most famous one. According to some priests of the village, Lord Ram brought the temple from Ayodhya and installed by Raka Kullu. But this has little historical evidence. On the left side of Lord Ram stands the idol of Sita

Hot Springs

It is said that people go to heaven after taking a bath in these hot springs and drinking water from here. Manikaran hot spring has radio active minerals and Uranium. Harinder Mountain and Parvati River: On the northern side of Manikaran is a mountain called Harinder and on the south is the Parvati River.

Kasol Valley

Charmingly located on an open space which slopes down to expense of clear white sand at edge of River Parvati.
